Hi! I’m Aashna, a stop motion animator and mixed media artist, graduated from Parsons School of Design. I studied Illustration with a minor in Printmaking. Over time, I’ve realized that my art grows out of the quiet details I tend to notice, the kind of moments that don’t ask for attention but linger in your mind anyway. My ideas take time to form, shaped by the people and places I encounter along the way.

I draw inspiration from the everyday, maybe a jazz band playing in a corner of a park or the soft chatter of vendors back home in India. I’m fascinated by human behavior, how experiences, body language, and even the smallest gestures reveal what we feel and who we are. I am particularly drawn to stop motion as I believe it has this ability to give light to the smallest movements. There is something deeply intimate about building a world using tactile materials and textures.

I’m always chasing the feeling of noticing something honest and turning that into something you can see or hold. I hope my art sparks curiosity, emotion and maybe just a pause. A reminder to slow down and look a little closer.
