Me & My Work

Hi! I’m Aashna, a BFA Illustration student at Parsons School of Design with a minor in Printmaking. Over time, I’ve realized that my art grows out of the quiet details I tend to notice, the kind of moments that don’t ask for attention but linger in your mind anyway. My ideas take time to form, shaped by the people and places I encounter along the way.

I draw inspiration from the everyday, maybe a jazz band playing in a corner of a park or the soft chatter of vendors back home in India. I’m fascinated by human behavior, how words, body language, and even the smallest gestures reveal what we feel and who we are.

I’m always chasing the feeling of noticing something honest and turning that into something you can see or hold. I hope my art sparks curiosity, emotion and maybe just a pause. A reminder to slow down and look a little closer.
